Who we are

Fragrance IQ sells authentic designer and niche fragrance in 10, 15 and 30mL decants, hand poured from sealed retail bottles. These terms govern your use of fragranceiq.shop and any order you place through it.

By using the site or placing an order you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not order.

The registered entity behind the Fragrance IQ trading name is listed at the bottom of this page.

We are independent

Independent decant retailer, not affiliated with the brands shown. All trademarks belong to their owners. Every decant is poured from a genuine, sealed retail bottle.

We are not authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any fragrance house, and we never claim to be. We buy their bottles at retail like anyone else, and we say so plainly.

Brand names, fragrance names and logos are used to identify the product inside the decant. That is all. They remain the property of their owners.

What we write about the fragrances

Product descriptions, note breakdowns, wear notes and match scores on this site are our own work. They are our reading of the fragrance, not the house official copy, and they are not reproduced from anyone else.

Notes and performance are a matter of judgment and of skin. Two people can wear the same fragrance and get two different results. Treat our descriptions as guidance, not as a specification.

All text, layout and code on this site belong to Fragrance IQ. Do not copy them for a competing store.

Pricing and availability

Prices are shown in the currency stated at checkout and can change at any time. The price that applies to your order is the one shown at the moment you complete checkout.

Stock depends on the bottles we have open. A fragrance can sell out or come off the site without notice.

We try hard to keep prices and product details correct. If an obvious error slips through, such as a price that is clearly wrong, we may cancel the affected order and refund it in full rather than fulfil it at that price. We will tell you if that happens.

Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm the order to you by email. Until then there is no contract.

We may decline or cancel an order. Reasons include stock we cannot honour, a payment we cannot verify, a delivery address we cannot ship to, or an order that looks like resale or fraud. If we cancel, you are refunded in full.

Checkout is operated by Shopify. Payment details are entered on Shopify and handled by Shopify and its payment processors. This site never sees your card number.

Shipping and risk of loss

Shipping options and costs are shown at checkout before you pay. We would rather show you the real number there than promise one here.

Every decant is poured from a factory-sealed bottle bought from authorised retail.

Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days. Nothing ships at the weekend or on a holiday.

Orders go out by USPS or another reliable carrier, and delivery usually takes 3 to 7 business days after dispatch.

We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, the weather, or anything else outside our control.

If a parcel arrives damaged, or looks lost in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will help resolve it.

If something arrives wrong, write to IQfragranceassistance@gmail.com and we will sort it out.

Returns and cancellations

Because of what fragrance is, all sales are generally final.

If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the problem. We will review it and put it right with a replacement or another resolution where appropriate.

We do not accept returns for a change of mind, for personal scent preference, or where the wrong address was entered at checkout. That is why every product page names who a fragrance is wrong for, and why we sell a 10mL: getting it wrong should cost you a coffee run, not a bottle.

Using the fragrance

Fragrance is applied to skin. If you have a known sensitivity or a reaction to a product, stop using it. If you are unsure, patch test first or speak to a doctor.

Keep decants away from heat, sunlight and children. They contain alcohol and are flammable.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Beyond that, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost time, lost profit, or the cost of a replacement bought elsewhere.

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of errors.

Governing law

STILL NEEDED: the governing law and the courts with jurisdiction. This follows the state FragranceIQ LLC is registered in, which we do not have yet, and should be confirmed by counsel.

Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. When we change something material we update the date at the top of this page.
